Lisbon, January 28, 2026 – askblue, a Portuguese technology and business consulting firm, has established a pro bono institutional partnership with APAV – Portuguese Association for Victim Support with the goal of increasing the institution's operational efficiency through internal process optimization and implementation of innovative technological solutions.
"This is a partnership that combines innovation and social purpose, with askblue bringing expertise and solutions aligned with APAV's strategies, contributing to the prevention and mitigation of domestic violence in Portugal. As with any company project, we want to transform real challenges into positive impact, which in this case will benefit people in vulnerable situations who deserve the mobilization of society as a whole," explains Ana Rosado, partner at askblue.
"Domestic violence is a serious social problem in Portugal, and improving APAV's operational efficiency through the partnership with askblue can help strengthen our capacity to respond to this phenomenon, improving the support provided to victims and thus mitigating the impacts of violence," states APAV's president, João Lázaro.
Under this partnership, askblue commits to providing technical and human resources at no financial cost to APAV throughout 2026. In practical terms, the project will cover:
• Diagnosis, optimization, and redefinition of internal processes;
• Development and implementation of technological solutions;
• Training and capacity-building initiatives;
• Ongoing project monitoring and evaluation.
Among the planned initiatives is, for example, the creation of a new training platform for APAV volunteers.
Mobilization for a national cause
askblue aims to apply its know-how and resources in a socially responsible manner, within the scope of its corporate social responsibility policy, in innovation and efficiency initiatives that benefit the community. In 2025, the company joined the Professional Women's Network and, following this decision, domestic violence was chosen as the cause to mobilize askblue employees in 2026.
APAV is a social solidarity organization founded in 1990, dedicated to informing, protecting, and supporting crime victims. It provides free and confidential support with the help of volunteers, guided by the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination. In 35 years of history, it has supported more than 419,000 people.
