Lead Data Architect

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to join our company in one of our projects, in Lisbon.

Tasks:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient data driven architecture solutions to meet organizational needs;
• Oversee data visualization initiatives, creating user-friendly dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions;
• Lead data management strategies, including data governance, collection, transformation, integration, and storage, ensuring data quality and reliability;
• Implement and optimize data governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and ethical use of data;
• Perform advanced data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategy and innovation;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives;
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, fostering trust and understanding;
• Write, debug, and optimize code to directly contribute to the development and maintenance of data systems;
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our data capabilities;
• Mentor and guide team members, promoting skill development and professional growth within the company and the group.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role;
• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java, Go);
• Deep understanding of data management, governance, and analysis methodologies;
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS), big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), Data Warehose/Lake technologies (e.g. SnowFlake, others), and event streams and message queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ);
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams;
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to present technical information to diverse audiences;
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges;
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in the data field;
• Experience in Project Management or Agile leadership roles are a plus;
• Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a real plus.
